Wanda Murphy

Wanda Murphy obtained her formal art education at Concord College in West Virginia.

In the summer of 1996, she became the apprentice to world renowned linear expressionist Jean Claude Gaugy. Salvador Dali arranged a one-man show for Gaugy at the Galerie de Seine in Paris at a young age. Gaugy was also the apprentice to sculptor Henry Moore, while in England. Murphy worked with Gaugy during the creation of “The Awakening”. The Awakening is an 8000 sq. ft. monumental work of art that is of an universal spiritual theme. The Awakening Sanctuary will be located in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
